Meet Steve Ebben | Your Expert Career Ownership Coach

As a Career Ownership Coach, I help my Clients to rethink and hone their personal and professional goals and aspirations. I provide Clients with tools and perspectives to explore career opportunities that they may not have previously considered.

I was part of the corporate world for more than 30 years. During this time, I held executive leadership roles in healthcare, consulting, and human services companies – ranging from multibillion dollar organizations to small start-ups. I have experienced acquisitions and restructuring. I have watched friends and colleagues go through similar challenges and wanted to do more to help.

I enjoy creating a safe and trusting relationship for Clients to learn about career self-sufficiency options. As a Coach, my greatest satisfaction comes from helping Clients to clearly determine the best path to achieve their vision.

Steve holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BS in Civil Engineering from Marquette University. Steve lives in Metro-Detroit with his wife, Jackie. When they aren’t working, they will be volunteering in their community, enjoying the outdoors with their dog, or visiting their two daughters.

Work history.

President. Legacy Medical Group: During my presidency active patients grew by 40%. As a stage-1 organization, processes and systems needed to be established and formalized to scale the organization to expand its geographic reach.

Chief Operating Officer, ComForCare Health Care Holdings, Inc.: I led franchisee governance, franchisee training and support services, program development, information technology, and marketing. I expanded dementia and skilled nursing programs by 25% annually.

President, Forgotten Harvest: For America’s largest food rescue and Michigan’s 6th largest non-profit, I was promoted to President to address a financial crisis. I successfully diversified revenue to overcome a $1M deficit and place the organization on a solid financial foundation.

Vice President, Beaumont Health: I transformed previously competing organizational silos that lost revenue into a cohesive business unit: Beaumont Laboratory. I grew the division to a national scale, becoming the 5th largest laboratory in the country.

Vice President, Resourcing Services Company – a PricewaterhouseCoopers Company: I helped clients such as Beaumont Health, Grady Health, and Ameritech increase quality, satisfaction, cost efficiency and team engagement.

My coaching experience has centered on helping develop team members to grow their skills and advance their careers.

As Chief Operating Officer of a franchisor, I thoroughly enjoyed consulting with franchise owners to help them develop their teams and expand their business results.

I have also provided significant coaching through Board of Trustee leadership in several nonprofits, including serving as Board Chairman of a $30 M human services nonprofit. As Chairman, providing counsel to the leadership team is a rewarding part of my service.

My greatest gratification comes from providing Clients with guidance, education, and a safe learning environment that helps them explore possibilities and make informed decisions to achieve their dreams.
